Northern Nevada Baha'is organized a forum on religious freedom on May 10 in Reno (USA).

Various Baha'i activists highlighted the persecution of Baha'i leaders on the occasion and urged the world to wake-up to their plight and frequent violation of their human rights.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who also addressed the forum, listed the repression and discrimination suffered by religious minorities world over and stressed that everybody should be free to practice the faith of their choice.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, also pointed out the urgent need of immediate end to apartheid conditions faced by about 15-million Roma (Gypsies) of Europe, who had been there since about ninth century CE.
