JIFF’s final nominated films list has been released on Wednesady

Jaipur, December 10:- Pointing towards Creation, construction and change, igniting the fire of our rights and duties, and propagating the art, culture and tourism of each and every country in the garb of entertainment, the world cinema is now all set to knock at the doorsteps of Jaipur. JIFF office has received a list of films from the members of the selection committee across the world, nominated for the festival, and now the Organizing Committee is placing this list before the entire world.

The founder and spokesperson of JIFF Mr. Hanu Roj says that we are eagerly waiting for the arrival of world film fraternity in Jaipur.

This year there have been more than 1807 entries (from 100+ Countries) out of which 158 films have been included in the final list of nominated films. Almost 90 movies from all over the world and 68 from India have nominated. These films would be screen in JIFF after Government permission (exemption certificate from Government of India) which is scheduled from 1st February to 5th February, 2015.

The list includes as much as 12 films form Rajasthan including  Jeevati Re Beti.

Disclosing the number of movie selected in each category he further added that 33 in feature film category, 7 in Documentary feature category, 85 in short fiction film, 17 in short documentary film and 16 in Animation film category.

Last year by this time almost 1587 films had already been submitted, out of which 156 films have been included in the final list of nominated films.

The selected films includes the films based mainly on the issues of Human Rights, Women centric issues, International issues, Love, Relationships, War and Peace, Literature, Environment, Youth, Lagging behind of third world, our past and the present, art and democracy and the present political scenario.

This year JIFF has seen many entries from Iran, USA, Croatia, England, Russia, America, Spain, India Nepal, Bhutan, Behrin, Puerto Rico, Myanmar and Switzerland etc.. From many years JIFF has seen an increasing entries from all over the world.

Besides keeping the trend regional cinema has seen a huge entry in JIFF this year like Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali etc. .
This year the selection process has been tough because in comparison to last year this year they have selected minimum number of film with best quality. This is done in order to give the filmmakers and audience a chance to see the best quality cinema.
All these film selected by 18 national and international film makers, writers and film critics.
