Multi-faith clergy according reception to Hindu statesman Rajan Zed in Nevada

n a remarkable interfaith gesture, Northern Nevada clergy belonging to various religions and denominations is giving reception in honor of distinguished interfaith leader and Hindu statesman Rajan Zed.

According to The Right Reverend Gene Savoy, Jr, President of Nevada Clergy Association, this reception will be held on January 29 in Reno (Nevada, USA) and Sparks Mayor Geno R. Martini will preside. Thakur Chakrapani Singh, well-known classical musician from India; and Shanti-Shanti, world-renowned Sanskrit and celestial musical group; will provide the music.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, and Director Interfaith Relations of Nevada Clergy Association, was invited to participate in the prestigious "World Economic Forum" in November organized by Geneva (Switzerland) based international organization, which brought together about 500 global and regional business leaders, heads of state and government and ministers, as well as leaders from media, academia and civil society.

Rajan Zed was also accorded a civic reception in a town in northern India in November and he had interfaith dialogue with Catholics, Muslims, Sikhs and others during this trip to India. He has delivered invocations at the 27 city councils and county commissions in California and Nevada in the last few months.

Zed lead "Faith Forum", a highly popular one-of-a-kind weekly dialogue on religion at a Pulitzer winner Gannett publication in Nevada, crossed the 100th mark on December 23 without any break. He prominently appeared in a recently released documentary on religion titled "Unresolvable?".

Rajan Zed has taken up interfaith, religion, environment, Roma (Gypsies) and other causes all over the world. He has read opening prayers in United States Senate, various state senates and houses of representatives, counties and city councils all over USA. He was invited by President of European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) for a meeting to promote interfaith dialogue. Many cities in USA have named October 25 as "Rajan Zed Day". Bestowed with "World Interfaith Leader Award"; Zed is Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to New York headquartered Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, Spiritual Advisor to National Association of Interchurch & Interfaith Families, etc.
