Green Business Chamber honors religious statesman Rajan Zed

Reno-Sparks Local Business Co-Op & Green Business Chamber has honored distinguished interfaith leader and Hindu statesman Rajan Zed.


A plaque signed and presented by Dave Asher, Executive Director of the Co-Op & Chamber, at the interfaith clergy reception accorded to Zed (who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism) in Nevada recently, said that the recognition and honor was "for his leadership in creating, trust and cooperation between various faith traditions in Northern Nevada and around the world".


"Today we honor Rajan Zed for his countless achievements in building harmonious community and providing spiritual enrichment to our region, to our country and to the world", it added.


It also lists Zed's various accomplishments in religion, interfaith dialogue and other areas and honors he received.


Rajan Zed has taken up interfaith, religion, environment, Roma (Gypsies) and other causes all over the world. He has read opening prayers in United States Senate, various state senates and houses of representatives, counties and city councils all over USA. He was invited by President of European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) for a meeting to promote interfaith dialogue. Many cities in USA have named October 25 as "Rajan Zed Day". Bestowed with "World Interfaith Leader Award"; Zed is Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to New York headquartered Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, Spiritual Advisor to National Association of Interchurch & Interfaith Families, etc. He prominently appeared in a recently released documentary on religion titled "Unresolvable?".
